ammm... there are a lot of places that have nice ambiance lounge with good drinks BUT definately NOT cheap. So I will see what ppl suggest.

I think Abigail's Party has a relatively cheaper cocktail menu. But I have never been there so no comment on how good they are or if the place is nice...etc. But it's in Kit's area:

Most cocktails are $7-8 and beers are $4.25 - 6.

Most places I like in that area charge 9+ for a regular cocktail and more for hand crafted/special/premium ones.

Ginger  ...

Music at Section 3 is usually loud. So if u just want to chill and drink and do some small talks, it's not bad. But you can't really expect to chat with the whole group.

Cascade is a little out of the area and ... also on the $8+ side ... but I went there once and it's not a bad place for drinks. Bar closes at mid-nite tho....
