I told you about logging roads is because I thought you wanted more dangerous/adventurous route to Harrison Hot Springs...

Logging roads are unpaved roads used by logging trucks (i.e. tree cutting).
Some of them are really narrow and go right around the edge of the mountain without rails.
I went to Harrison recently and I don't recall anywhere with high mountain.. it's mostly highway... hwy 1 -> hwy 9 or 7....

Well normally ppl will NOT set their GPS to avoid hwy.... I just try to guess why did your GPS took you through mountain roads as you described in your first post.

?? you cannot load google map page?
If you can, just go to google map and search for "Harrison Hot SpringS" <- "s" is very important. Then get direction from Vancouver, BC.
I think you can do similar search with other online maps.
