I am not 100% sure if the Gyoza King Group is Japanese own or partly Chinese owned.
I think Sanpachi and Benkei are Chinese owned.
Not sure about Q Go neither (heard a manager/owner talking to the Japanese waitress in English)
I think Gyudonya is Korean owned.

I tried Ichiro before, I believe their cooked food is better than their sushi/sashi ...

YES! Totally agree. I really like their cooked food.

toshi on main and 16th is good...very fresh sashimi...but cooked food is just okay

Zipang is Japanese own. It's on Main St.
So they have many different sushi rolls, vegetarian options, brown rice rolls...etc
It's pretty good but not the traditional type. It's very "main st".I liked it but my friend who went with me didn't.

I didn't live in the area but I had been to Takumi and remember it being very good.
I haven't been to their West Van location since it a bit of a drive.

The owner mentioned that they use better ingredient than the Burnaby/Coquitlam location.  Katsu-don  ...
