Not sure if anyone has posted such topic before... but I think it would be nice to have a thread like this so that LYKs can share/talk about some hot deals they have with Rogers Wirless. Indeed, existing Rogers users would know how to bargin for more when they plan to continue with Rogers once their contract(s) is(are) up =)

Total: $20/mth + $10 - $10credit + 5 - $5credit SAF + 0.5 + tax = less than $31/mth

Nope, I did not. I called and asked if I can get those features added. At first, she said no. Then, she put me on hold and took a quick look and saw that I was actually offered that back in a long time. So, she said she would give it to me for free =) I was asking for unltd incoming too, however, she can't do it.

your plan is nice too, R2R, R2F... it's pretty good. When your contract is up, you call retention and see if they are willing to wavie your CID feature. Althou it's 2.5 years to go, you can still give it a try. How long have you been with Rogers?Don't know how they get such good deals? Well, it took me quite awhile to have such deal...... The trick is to talk to them nicely, don't beg them and say I want this for free. Say that you want to keep the monthly price as what you use to pay yet want a little bit more features in order for you to continue to be their customers =)

I called the CXR like end of Dec of 2007. So, I have that new SE w580i for less than a month. So, I just renew my new 3-yrs term not too long ago. I told them that if they can send me a better phone, and they asked me what kind of phone I like. They said they would waive the activation fees and give me credits for the phone. I just talked to him nicely and yeah, that's how I got the phone for free. But, I heard that lots of people were getting that w580i for $49.99 so yea, I guess it depends on which rep you talk to. The 8G memory card is like a promotion thingy... one rep said I am not qualified to have one, but one said I can. Of coz, I got it... ahhahahah

I'ver heard that some telus users called that Roger's CXR #s. I guess you can call and say if rogers can price match with the telus plan you are using and request if they would offer a bit better. Then, say if they can offer better you would switch over? I thought telus has a plan like $17/month?

how do i get those $5, and $10 credits... took me quite awhile.... but when I requested for a little more features, they said I can get whichever package and I said sure BUT i'm not willing to pay more than $20 a month... hahahahah

To everyone, my advice is, talk to them nicely... don't just ask for "can i have this for free". Instead, you can say something like "Yeah, I would enjoy such feature(s) if I don't have to pay so much" ... etc After all, they are still human beings, they are not here for us to bit*h at =P
