i took the MTR in ShenZhen couple years ago, i think it was built not too too long ago, the whole facilities were pretty new, has safety doors just like HK's MTR, it wasn't crowded(weekday non-rush-hour), and it uses plastic chip token instead of HK MTR's ticket with a magnetic strip.
if i remember correctly, their trains were built by bombardier.

the funny thing is that canada line's train is built by some korean company instead of local ones.
