Just wondering why do you think you need a wedding planner to help plan your wedding? Are you invite more than 400, 500+ guest to your wedding? Or wanting to have a 2-3 days banquet? In that case you  ...

I've hired a day-of wedding planner / coordinator for my wedding and she has been EXTREMELY helpful. I am having a small wedding, but I don't wanna be bothered by any logistical issues on the day of my wedding. I also want my guests and family members to have a good time and so I don't wanna bother them with my wedding details. This is why I hired a wedding planner just for that day (but my wedding planner is great and so she is also giving me referrals for vendors and helping me plan things before the big day, so that's another bonus of having a wedding planner).

Good points. I guess that really depends on personal preferences. For me, the wedding planning part is one of the most exciting and memorable "tasks" for my wedding. Of course there were good and bad  ...

Well wedding planners are not just there to "plan you wedding"; like me, I'm planning my entire wedding as well, and I agree with you, I wouldn't sacrifice that for anything......but on the day of the wedding, I really don't want to deal with any of the logistical issues regardless of how big / small my wedding is. This is where the wedding planner comes in to do day-of coordination. A lot of people go for services like this too since they want to enjoy the planning process but don't wanna be the planner as well as the bride on her big day.

that's why u would hv bridesmaids and maid of honor to do the job...... on ur big day u wouldn't need to worry a thing other than just be happy and get marry

Nah I'd prefer that they just enjoy the day......to organize the run-down of the day of the wedding the person has to be super organized. This is a huge responsibility that I'd rather ask a professional to do it instead of relying on friends. In addition I don't think my MOH can be at multiple places at once (e.g. she will be walking down the aisle when I need someone to cue the person to play the music, or when she is taking pictures with me in the afternoon I'll need someone to coordinate the decor at the banquet).
