Ultraman: "If playing MJ is kind of an entertainment, why it is not allowed to play inside any church? Doesn't it conflicting?"
A similar situation appears in 1Cor 8 of the Bible, where Paul addressed the early Christians whether eating food offered in other temples are acceptable. He said eating such food itself isn't a problem, but if that act of eating the food causes others to bad impressions, then it is not a good thing and should be avoided. ["Therefore, if food causes my brother to fall, I will never again eat meat, so that I won't cause my brother to fall." (1Cor 8:13)]
I may only be using MJ tiles to play mahjong solitaire (tile matching game), but if such act causes church visitors to have negative impressions (which probably would) , then I should not do it. |
