How do you know?  What's the criteria in determining?

If a person study Buddhism all his life, how does that person know if he has became Buddha or not?  There must be a criteria to meet right?  Oth ...

I don't think criteria is a matter, since no solid proof for whether there is truly a heaven or someone will become Buddha,  one could still spend/waste his/her whole life time on earth but achieve nothing for after life.
