i hate to say this, but within those tofu junk schools, many were built with donations such as "hope project". Where did the money go? why were the schools sub-standard? If the gov admits those were tofu junk schools, it's much more than just handing over someone responsible for allowing sub-standard buildings. They would have also explain where the donation (to build sturdy schools) went. I've heard too many stories of the corruption of Chinese officials, so I never donate to projects in China.

the problem is the same officials are in charge of reconstruction. what makes u think tofu junk schools won't happen again?? this is not about 冤冤相報何時了. the kids who died did nothing to hurt the officials.

While those principles are good, the officials don't even admit they were wrong in the first place. You can't forgive someone who doesn't even admit their mistakes. No admitting of error = no changes to be made. and 人性 does not exist in China after cultural revolution.
