We Chinese call ourselves 中國人, 華人.

It is not the first time Mr Lik uses this disrespectful term against us Chinese.

支那人 contains disrespectful meanings and was used by the Japanese to call us Chinese.

We don't see people call them "Jap" wor, please don't make things up.

I hope Mr Lik knows where to draw the line, when he bashes China/Chinese/Hong Kong.

一般的共識是：以個人身份屢次地或者在正式場合使用「支那」稱呼中國，或稱呼中國人為「支那人」，
是一種不禮貌、不尊重中國且帶有藐視意味的行為。

第二次世界大戰後，日本政府接受中華民國政府的要求，發出《支那ノ呼称ヲ避ケルコトニ関スル件》通令全國官民，媒體、教科書、公文、公務員對「支那」的稱呼都禁止，明定對中國人的稱呼全面改以中華民國人、中國人、民國人、華人。

今日有些臺灣民族主義支持者或對中國反感的臺灣人亦使用支那人稱呼中國人，且有日趨普遍之勢。例如嘉義市政府社會處的一名公務員在中國客遭遇阿里山車禍後，在其噗浪上稱中國人為支那人。
