On the other hand, the Japanese are foreigners, so who cares if boycotting Japanese products will affect them. Besides, these Japanese are arrogant and naive about their rewritting of history books, poison gas experiments in China and their forcing of comfort ladies etc

From what I heard, they didn't have plastic bullets back in those days. Why didn't they buy some? Some people speculated the government never expected the people to riot so they never needed to buy anti-riot equipment. If they had used tear gas etc, the result could have been totally different.

Just look at democratic India, they are even worse in terms of corruption and bureaucracy. They have serious poverty, illiteracy, most places do not have electricity supply. In general, they are poorer than China.

You get my point here? It is going to take time to transform any country into a fully democratic country. China knows exactly what to do step by step. It has already pulled more people out of poverty, quicker than any other country in history.

Most of the comments here are redundant. The trend is your friend. Just go with the flow, especially when the government is willing to develop the economy. Through the development of the economy, even the mentality of the people will change. Especially when the younger generation of people takes power in the government. Therefore, the chance of getting an apology will increase.
