You keep on claiming that there is no demand and only 20-40% of the people use it.
But if 30% of the people in China use highspeed train, that is already 400 million people. This number will increase over the next few decades as the highspeed railway project is designed to serve for decades.
Some people will use highspeed railway, some will drive themselves, some will take the plane and some will take the bus. Why can't you understand this?
Does everyone here take the skytrain?

咁又唔係喇, 中國既國內航線應該唔少人搭. 上年去左深圳機場做野, 都見到唔少人等機啊~ ...

You are just jealous that China has highspeed railway for millions of people and they reduces pollution and reliance on cars, while you are driving your polluting car here.

These highspeed trains are packed during peak hours.
