They should cut their high salaries first.

The stations could have been built to accommodate to 3-4 carriages each train.
Then they could start with 2 carriages, then expand to 3-4 carriages each train.
But of course that was going to cost more money to build the stations.

I still remember many years ago some city councillors went to Hong Kong and London, UK subway to inspect whether faregates are good for train stations, LOL.

Not only more, but way more... And, the worst part is, the line may not be built in time... City of Vancouver has a bigger control of the budget. One of the priority is: The line has to be built on time... ...

Time was not a problem. They had years of planning for the event.
