You better worry about the 200,000 domestic workers and their families becoming Hong Kong citizens. They will all consume a lot of Hong Kong taxpayer money.

These 200,000 workers are going to take jobs from the grassroots people in Hong Kong. This is a valid concern.

工聯會 is just trying to protect Hong Kong's grassroots people jobs.

If they apply for permanent residency, there are few reasons that Hong Kong government can use to reject them, once they have stayed in HK for more than 7 years.
