If people feels like to live in HK then they will go back to HK.
If people feels like to live in Vancouver then they will stay in Vancouver.
No one will force them to stay or go back..It's all their personal decision.
As some LYK said before, they like the Vancouver lifestyle.. so they prefer to stay in Vancouver. I dun think they need to further explain why Vancouver is better than HK.  Like is like..Dislike is dislike.
I like Vancouver lifestyle..so I will stay in Vancouver...but I don't mind going back to HK for vacation to visit my frds and relatives.

One thing I disagree, it is not about "honger style".  It is whether they want to hire you, or if they want to hire a white guy, for example.  You can "try" to join a community, but they don't have to accept you.

I feel sorry for you. It sounds like you are being races by the white ppl here and got a lot of bad memories?? I think the white ppl here are quite friendly. I used to work in western companies and they are very friendly and helpful. (Better than some Chinese companies here like to 勾心鬥角)
