As Shutterbug said planty of good senceric places to visit in the Canadaian Rockies such as Banff, Jasper, Lake Lousie .  If time is not a concern, you can take your time to hop from one site to the other. I personally think that Columbia Icefield is definitely the place to visit. It woud be quite an expeience to take the hugh bigfoot vehicle to the glacier and feel the glacier  yourself.

For driving, take it easy especially in the mountain roads.

A mentor of mine told me that you must say only good thing or nothing in public about other people's town regarless you like the town or not.  In that case, you guys are the native Calgarian, you are entitled to say negetatives.  But, guys, isn't it the ****-kicking Stampede or the Hertitage Village a good place to visit ?
