because phase 1 is expected to be completed in 1 or 2 years? A lot of people still think that the market will go up, esp. when they made the purchase few months ago. (Yes, some people were able to get into deals before it was open to public.) These people are trying to sell before completion to make a profit.
But, I don't think we should comment on the settlements. There are a lot of reason why the oval settles more than expected. May be, the construction schedule did not allow enough surcharge duration. May be, they underestimated the foundation load. My point is, with good engineering, the long-term settlement can be minimized. And very likely, the engineers working on River Green will look at the data obtained from Oval to further calibrate their settlement model. |
