| I'm sorry but I really find it hard to feel pity for the younger generation here who complains about the high prices. With duo household income, I don't see how hard it is to own a home. If you cannot afford to live in Richmond Vancouver or Burnaby, then just move further East and do a little bit of commuting, build your equity, and upgrade to a nicer one in a few years. I read somewhere the brand new Concord deveopment in Surrey is starting from $200k? That sounds very affordable. Or if you can't afford a brand new home, get an older one and do some reno. If there is a will, there is a way. I think many complainers just have too many sitipulations and expecations for the first property and they try to wait for that 20% drop. Well Guess what, the train doesn't wait. Try owning a decent place in Hong Kong these days. Anything below 2.5 mill HKD are all tiny pieces of crap. There's really nothing to complain about here. |
