I believe not all mainlanders are rude and uncivilized.

However I recently had a similar unpleasant experience with those "bad apples".
I was playing drop-in badminton @ Yumo. all the courts were for drop-in. A bunch of mainland immigrants were playing at a court for almost an hour without rotating. That was not fair for the other players, especially me and my friends who were next on the waiting list.

so i went over and told them that their time was up and needed to wait like everybody else. one of them who know a little English told his mates  about this and all the sudden, everyone of them started shouting and swearing at me using mandarin. they gave up the court yet kept shouting in mandarin on the side.

all games on the other courts were frozen bcuz of them shouting.

me and my friends pretended nothing happened and played on their court. i think it would have been worse if i let them know i can speak mandarin.

a friend of mine works in Staples. he stopped a customer from mainland china from opening the box of a brand new ink cartridge. That customer yelled at him and flatted the whole box, threw it on the floor and left.

gotta clap for this performance.

i have no personal offense to mainland people, but i want to tell you guys something that happened to my friend today.

my friend sold her house and she is trying to sell away some of her household items.

she posted an ads on vansky and a pair of young Chinese couple (they claimed they just graduated from university) came into her place to buy a rice-steamer. when the couple left with the rice-steamer, my friend discovered that her brand new digital camera has disappeared from the dinner table. my friend is certain that the camera was there before the couple came and that pair of couple were the only one who visited that day.

my friend remember that guy always had his hand inside his pocket while in her house.

so she called up the couple and the guy picked up. the following was the conversation. my friend was trying to be polite and not to offend him.
F= my friend     G= the guy

f: i tried to look for my digital camera which i left on the dinner today. have you seen it?
g: eh...eh.. hm... no i didnt see it.
f: i see. that camera is very important to me. it contains lots of my memorable memory. i wonder if it might be accidentally fallen into your shopping bags.
g: (hesitating)... i ...i ..dun think so. sorry. (more hesitation)..if u think i took it, i can pay u back the price of the camera.
f: oh no no, i am not suspecting you. i just want to make sure that it is not accidentally fallen into shopping bag or some sort.
g: sorry. i cant help much.
f: if u happened to see it, please let me know. all i want is the memory stick with all my precious pictures in it.

the conversation ended.

from my friend interpretation, his hesitation indicated that he is kind of 心虛。。my friend hope that guy can at least give her back the memory stick bcuz the content is priceless.
