I used to pay the same price too. But I called customer service and switched my line phone to shaw + (basic TV + 10 HD + Chinese channels) + high speed Internet for $69 a month.  I also got a free PVR rental for 2 years and can keep my existing digital box.

Call Shaw customer service and threaten to switch to Telus. But you must do your homework and tell them what Telus is offering and their packaged price. They actually know the Telus price very well and just want to know how serious you are.

I think I called 3 times and at the end, I agreed to swich my line phone from Telus to Shaw. The sales guys then threw in the free PVR rental and we finally agreed to $69.

Mine is a no ending deal, but the free PVR rental will only last for 2 years. Hope there will be a better deal then or I will have to call customer service again.

My rental Pace TDC776D is so far so good, but very noisy. I am planning to buy a ESATA drive to expand the hard disk capacity.

I am using a Sandisk reader to convert the video from my PVR. Slow but it works

How did you able to pull stuff out from the PVR?

I have plugged the PVR RCA output to the input of my Sandisk V-mate. conversion will be done once I finished watching my recording.

My bill just arrived, the resaon why you pay more than me is the voice mail and call waiting feature that you have.  However, I have free High speed extreme Internet, which you do not have. I remember it was given to me because I complained about the Internet speed. Anyway, I think you should ask for it.
