The aircraft was headed from Vancouver to Kelowna, B.C., with eight people on board, a pilot who works for another airline at the airport said.
The plane turned around shortly after takeoff but did not make it back to the airport, crashing in the 5300-block of No. 2 Road in Richmond, said the pilot, who asked not to be identified.
The plane is a Beechcraft King Air turbo-prop, which has a capacity to carry nine people. |
