BOSTON (NEWS1130) - The Canucks not only lost game six of the Stanley Cup finals 5-2 in Boston last night but they may have also lost forward Mason Raymond for a long time.

Raymond was hit by Bruins defenseman Johnny Boychuk on his first shift of the game in the first period and he did not return to the game.

In fact, Raymond left the TD Garden on a stretcher and spent the night in hospital.

Sportsnet is reporting that a source close to Raymond family is saying that he suffered a fractured vertebrae and is gone 4-6 months and he may not be ready when training camp starts next season.

Canucks GM Mike Gillis was very upset that there was no penalty call on the play.

The NHL says that there will not further review of the hit by Boychuk.

Jeff Tambellini is an option for the Canucks to replace Raymond in Game 7 tomorrow night in Vancouver
