I have had lots of bad experiences with the one on Fraser x 41st too, and I have posted my experience on LYK before so I am not going to elaborate on it this time because it cause me too much pain. Anyway frontdesk staff unorganized, vets unskilled. Bad experiences from small things like they lost every single leash I left with them, to big things like they can't even perform euthanasia with the right amount of dosage and had to go into the back for more.
But regarding 子官脹大 problem... I had a pomeranian who had the same illness at around age 10, and at the time we took her to the SPCA hospital in vancouver. SPCA is reasonably charged but in a sense they might charge more, because they insist on doing all the blood tests and other detailed diagnostics before they will give your pet's condition any type of treatment. (Other vets sometimes give you an option to wave detailed diagnostics in order to make them seem cheaper in price... so that they have a "guess" on what illness your pet has and what treatment to give.) However regardless of the charge, in the end they performed two surgeries to remove the infected parts (because it was a difficult and long surgery, my dog was old the first surgery started to get stressful so they decided to stop and do the rest in a 2nd surgery at a later time.) all this might seem complicated and she recovered very well and was jumping/running around happily even on the day we took her home from SPCA (i haven't seen her do that for a while).
Long story short, find a better vet, it does make a difference. I don't goto SPCA with my current dog I'm going to one on Kerrisdale called WBVC, they are all very nice people and all the staff remember my dog everytime I go back. I still go back to the fraser one but only to buy Revolution for my dog because they are so close, not for anything else...... |
