I always think hospice is a stupid idea.

And on top of that, why would you expect someone else to be willing to lose money because you have a dying relative?

so there are two ways to do this

the capitalist way - respect the owners and ditch the idea
the socialist way - fxxk up the owners and put the building there

it's a clash between two fundamentals
there's no right or wrong here

and if i were an owner, I certainly DO NOT expect you to respect me.  So that's why I would have to fight for myself to have it not built there.

I seriously think it's fxxked up to spend tons of money on someone who's gonna die in a few months regardless and leave all those children with low quality education and deficient public services.  But such is the way society has been developed and I can't care much anymore.

I wasn't talking about Canada in general.  It looks like Hospice is volunteer based in Canada, which is very different from the US.

If it doesn't cost anything in Canada, then what I said doesn't apply.  But that's completely off topic.
