It depends on the viewer.

For me,
a good film shows a new perspective about the world;
a good film reveals a level of reality that is often forgotten by human;
a good film inspires me to another artistic level;
a good film brings out beauty and magic that nobody has ever envisioned.

A film that can only achieve the purpose of entertainment is a commodity. It's to be sold and consumed like fast food. A recent example - Yip Man.

Many good documentaries fall under this category. But there are still many fictional examples. Some recent ones include:

I Served the King of England
Pan's Labyrinth
The Funny Game

a good film reveals a level of reality that is often forgotten by human;

Again, most predominant examples are documentaries. Examples:

The Manufactured Landscape
Who Killed the Electric Car?

a good film inspires me to another artistic level;

Too many to be listed, but most works of Tarantino, Alejandro Jodorowsky, Gus Van Sant would do.

a good film brings out beauty and magic that nobody has ever envisioned.

That's why I am not saying there's anything wrong with the movie or you shouldn't watch it.  But my point is that, it's not a good movie based on merits.  It's a commercially successful movie though.
