Well, I think this logic is somewhat wrong.
Assuming after your one year contract, you're able to go somewhere else and get a very similar plan for less than $70, say $60 for the coming 24 months. Then the money you saved in 3 years total will be ($70-60)x24 = $240. (this assume that you don't need another phone when switching)
You save $1680 only if you stop using cellphone all together a year later.
If today, you can't find a plan that suit you for less than $70, do you believe that you could do find a plan for say $60 a year later? Well, it is the future, so who knows.  |
