According to another newspaper, the polices who fired were only 3m away from the man.  Such a small distance and with a 鎅刀 only, it will have a case.

but why you would compare a US marine sniper (shot hundreds of meters away) to a police shot in 3m distance?

Police v.s. soldier have different job already.
