According to your list, I have 5.5.  Guess I'm more "Canadian" than most LYK.  

However, I don't agree that you have a good sampling.  The group of Canadian I know are only half as what you said.

It is actually quite common for above mid-age local to have a vacation home somewhere.  I know few have that, which also includes early HK immigrates.  At that time, out town properties are pretty cheap.  Non of mid-age or below Canadian have cash for doing that.

True story of my coworker when he joined our company many years ago (yes, a big company).  One day he went down to Subway for lunch, and he sat down and started talking to another person who was there by himself.  He had the same badge, so they knew they are from the same company.

This person asked my friend how his work and how he felt about the company.  Then my friend started "yapping" on everything.  Later this person left and jumped onto this Porsche parked outside.  My friend started to think who the hell was him driving a Porsche.  Turned out he was the CEO that time.

I could see this ex-CEO walking around the building maybe once a month.  However, I did saw his toys every day, two Ferrari, back then.  Rumors said he ran out of parking spaces at home.  haha...

My current CEO drives a hybrid.
