just remember those restaurants which have small tables(for two).  those restaurants will not rush you since their small tables were set already.  or the one that never full

can't remember the name, but that is right on nanaimo , just opposite of royal bank.  it is run by few japanese.

no, not this one, this one is on hastings.  the one i mentioned is on nanaimo, but only a min walk for tentatsu.

cheaper, fresher & taste better, but the problem is sometimes you need to wait so long.  
they serve one table after the others, they don't give a little bit for each table.  last time we need to wait an hour before we got our food.  after that i will ask before i sit down.  
tentatsu is not bad, but just another japanese restaurant which run by chinese
if you don't mind to drive a little bit far away, the one on main & 16th or hastings & fell are good, but usually long wait.
just wonder have you try the one on hastings & lakewood, people said it is good, but it doesn't look like a restaurant at all, so scare to go in.

btw, there is a self-serve thai restaurant at 1st & commercial, pretty good
