actually there are many times pedestrian crossing light already turned red but it takes forever for the car lights to even turn yellow. When you decide to make a run for it, it turns red.

they use sensor on the road for many intersection. so if there is no car the light will take longer to change. to speed up traffic according to city website. however, i still think a good traffic pattern anyalsis is better.

whenever you see the palm..it means the traffic light can turn red anytime...this is common road sense...whether u decide to slow down..its your own decision..if you drive thru tht intersection often enough..u should be able to anticipate when the light will be changed...if you are not familiar with the route...then you shouldnt even be driving fast in the first place and you should have no problem stopping |
