BG, you can't blame the voters for that kind of behaviour. At least 2 sides are needed because they keep each other in check.
The thing is, power corrupts. And you see this happen again and again everywhere. But the problem we have in BC is that the BC Liberals have grown too comfy in Parliament, and have been abusing their power. On the other hand, the NDPs are completely incompetent, and Carol James is an especially lame leader.

That's what I thought day 1 before they even instated HST. Heck, any little perk would calm the peasants easy. Problem is they can't change the HST as agreed with the Fed Gov't. More-over, Liberals being Liberals, they don't really like to do hand-outs (HST rebates and sh_t, like Ontario), which I think it's a good thing.
Yet, voters are all hypocites. When NDP is on board and doing hand-outs left and right, they complain the economy is in the toilet. When Lib is on board cutting everything and being business oriented, attracting investments, etc, they are complaining they are ripping voters off... Obviously both sucks, but flipping between the two doesn't make things any better either.
sorry for the false rumor.

VDZ is a dumbass. Hanson came out explaining that the agreement with the Federal Gov't prevents them from changing the HST, either up or down, within 2 years after HST is started.
VDZ won major popularity/politically... but no hiding that he's employing every dirty trick possible in attacking the Lib. It's clear that he's just a foreman fronted by the oppositions, trying to bring down the Lib at all cost to the province.
The more I think about this, the unlikely I think this would happen. Some coperate would have to re-setup the tax table and stuff. Cash register needed to be re-programmed too.

Overturn the HST will only make us back to original and waste billions of marketing dollars Campbell already spent. The best way to for this to end is adjust the rate by 1%. The government will not lose money, because there are some items are now taxable when it wasn't before.
