Kids can be so smart with certain stuff, but totally cluessless with others. Increasingly, I think kids are more in tune with technology stuff, but completely losing touch on what many of us consider as basic life skills and basic knowledge about animals and nature.

I knew a kid (in HK) in his early teens and he loved salmon sashimi. When someone brought a whole raw filet back to HK and asked if he wanted some, the kid stared at the sashimi for a bit and said no -- and here is the kicker -- he didn't want any b/c he didn't recognize what that "thing" was. To him, sashimi was chunks of nicely cut meat that is red in colour.

Another kid, also in HK, didn't know what pineapples nors peaches look like, but he loved to those yellow ring shaped fruits slices with a hole in the middle, and he certainly loved those soft yellow halves in syrup as well...

A coworker told me some of her friends kids (here in Vancouver) don't know beef and pork came from cattles and swines, but at least they knew what cows and pigs were.

The reason here is expensive is that the postal workers extort money from the public by threatening to go on strike, therefore their salary are inflated. So that is the reason why the cost of mailing is so high here.

Have you ever been to any of the small towns across Canada? Are you even aware of how vast our country (not yours, since you obviously don't think you belong here) is?

When you don't know shxt, please STFU la, moron~!

Both China and the US are big countries, but their mailing costs are much lower than in Canada.

Have the thoughts of population density and economies of scale every crossed your mind? And I haven't even mentioned other factors such as cost of labour and things as well.
