I've heard of animals getting coloured as a sufficiently common practice in China, esp southern China (GZ, SZ areas). Not only that, have you ever heard of anything called 星期狗? That's another great invention from the great Motherland.

Grandfather can't even get human rights done right. What makes you think animal rights in China could be better than in western countries?
