The Dziekanski incident is extremely infuriating, but at least a public inquiry has been launched even though internal investigation found the officers to be free of criminal charges. I look forward to Judge Braidwood's report this coming fall:

The Braidwood Inquiry into the death of Robert Dziekanski will be allowed to make findings of misconduct against the four RCMP officers involved, according to a BC Supreme Court ruling today. Commissioner Thomas Braidwood had warned the officers he would consider allegations that the officers acted improperly and then lied to cover up their actions.
As to the Montreal incident, I say it was an unfortunate mistake, but from the news article, at least it seems like protocol and procedure has been followed, and it was a verification against a known criminal. Compare that to the protesters at 利東街 last year (?). University students were strip searched and humiliated (a guy being asked by the SAR Gung On to lift up his penis to show the Gung On that he wasn't hiding anything in his crotch area, and there being a male sergeant immediately outside the room where the girl was stripped searched -- I think the girl might have been asked to go into some humiliating poses during the search as well, but I don't remember it too clearly cuz it has been a while). And what happened out of this? The HK SAR inquiry found no faults, and that was the end of it despite people and 何秀蘭 bxtching about it.
