CP, first of all, if you really XXXXed Chiling, I would personally come over to AB and beat you up (and then I'll ask you how you managed to pull it off. )

But in this case, every indication suggests this Mr. Li is really mentally ill, to the point of being psychotic at the time when he committed the man slaughter, the bodily mutilation, and the cannibalism. It is a really, really sad incident, and it some ways, it is kind of like natural disasters -- there is no "revenge" that can be made against anyone for it.

In case you haven't been following the news, Mr. Li has apologized for his murderous act, and has in fact requested to the police that he should be executed for what he has done.

The Canadian injustice system is utter crap a lot of times, but in this case, I think the ruling is fine.

Having worked with people with mental disabilities before, I can attest to the truth of Ultraman's statement here -- they do not think along the same lines nor in the same progression as a "normal" person does. Their line of reasoning is just completely different, to the point where it is incomprehensible to the typical person.

Hey wait a second... come to think of it, that really isn't all that different from how those 糞青 think! (and we have one resident here on LYK as well~ )
