Stupid Jai,
If you don't know any political theory, then stop talking shxt la. In a 2 party situation like what we are having in BC, the parties will invariably be merely center of left, right in the center, or center of right, meaning that on the whole, their policies that actually get executed will not be that different. In other words, on a scale of 1 to 10, if 1 is left leaning and 10 is right leaning, the NDP might ideologically be #4, while the Liberals are #6. But in a bid to get back into the office, the NDP might be pitching some #4.5 or even #5 policies in attempt to lure more of the swing votes or ex-Liberal voters. As long as they remain further on the left than the Liberals, they can probably preserve their basic pool of left leaning voters.
For the record, BC has the lowest minimum wage across the country, and if I am not mistaken, that min wage has been frozen for almost 10 years. Even to the Liberal supporters, there is not enough opposition against a min wage increase la.
Stupid~
