In the past when there were more social equality and more social mobility, education is a means to level the playing field. As the great divide between the rich and the poor gets bigger, however, education alone is continually becoming less effective at leveling the playing field b/c the discrepancy in available resources is making too much of a difference.
On the other hand, this Ms. Wong who blows her life savings of $300k on her wedding is extremely stupid though.
