if I'm just working in one location, and don't have to bring stuff around, I would love to give up my car too. haha.

I'm in real estate but not doing sales.
say $7K/month (full time job + some side jobs), $2500 expense is reasonable, I can have some room for saving, but not like 70% saving for after tax expenses.

I have bi-weekly pay checks, 1 check for expenses, and 1 check from my side job.
I try to use the 1st bi-weekly check and the expenses check to cover that $2500 (I don't use a lot of cash). Then I save the 2nd pay check and the side job check. Just take $200 cash for the wallet.
So far ok...I control myself

my family paid for my 1st degree, then I paid for my master degree and the other courses. When I look back I feel it helped myself a lot, being responsibile for myself, and learn how to control my expenses.

$80+80 phone bills is home+my cell+papa's cell+ IP phone+tax
$300 is roughly $10 a day, you can imagine that I don't always dine out, unless I don't work at office that day, I'll be forced to eat whatever I find on the road.
