5 ppl 4 cars is not that surprising.... we have like 10 cars with 6 ppl in hk... and its not even enough to use, this is 3 SUV, 1 Van, 1 station wagon, 1 sedan, 1 coupe and 3 sports car.
but with 6k a month after tax here, it would be pretty good.... but then, the cost of high standard living is much lower then hk.... you can easily get a decent apartment for 300k and a nicer car for 80-90k (M3, C63, X5, Q7 etc). the same quality of housing and cars would run at least double in hk. let say u spend 3.5k on mortgage and car and expense, you still have 2.5k to spend or save a month...
in hk.... with the same amount a month... you'd consider yourself lucky to own a small apartment and have drive a honda civic. and see in tea restaurant everyday. |
