喺度想同大家分享一D對順X海鮮酒家@X家店嘅不愉快經歴,希望各位小心。

話說呢嗰暑假係細佬嘅大日子,而我哋早喺舊年四月己經喺順X落咗一千蚊訂。相信好多人都知道順X喺二月摺埋咗,喺呢嗰時候我哋就好徬徨咁揾第二間酒樓, 好彩到最後都比我哋揾到, 不過地方就比順X細好多。雖然我哋喺呢間酒樓落咗訂, 不過佢哋就話如果唔喺佢哋度擺酒都可以攞返credit, 呢個係公司policy, 所以我哋就當佢係back up, 如果有一日順x開返嘅話,我哋都有可能會去返嗰度。

而一個月後順X真係開返,不過以前嗰個經理就冇响嗰度做。因為係熟人介紹,我哋同佢個舊經理都幾好關係,仲話如果有乜事都可以退訂。就喺佢開返冇耐,嗰個新任嘅經理'Will 臣'就打电話問我哋會唔會繼續擺酒,我哋就話比佢知我哋要試菜先,話晒都係開返冇耐,又唔知D厨有冇變,点都要試咗先可以決定。就喺呢嗰時候,因為順X嘅信譽已經破晒產,掙落一身街數之餘,生意又奇差。據知情人事透露,佢哋連廁紙都需要向同埸商鋪些借。當你聽到咁嘅傳聞,梗係第一時間去攞返D訂啦。

咁去到見到呢位洪姓經理,我哋就問佢有關退訂事宜,話晒都係佢摺埋在先,佢退訂都好應該。点知佢話己經喺电話度confirm咗我哋會繼續訂個場擺酒,我哋明明話要試菜先架喎..佢比电話我哋只係過咗一禮拜咁上下。咁算啦,就算唔退訂,比返credit都得掛,点知佢斷言拒絕,食都唔得!喺咁嘅情况下我哋為有同佢講我哋照擺酒,不過希望可以攞返一半訂即五百大洋,一人讓一步,咁佢話要同董事局開會先,我心諗乜咁X巴閉?!佢嗰陣時態度己經好差...咁心諗冇辦法啦,唯有等佢既好消息..

等咗大約二個禮拜,'好消息'真係嚟。呢條粉腸喺夜晚九点幾打嚟話同董事局傾過,話可以比返五百蚊訂,不過條件喺一定要喺佢度擺酒。咁我哋就問佢有冇第二嗰選擇,事關我哋打探到我哋有個auntie又係訂咗酒席不過佢就可以攞返credit。咁既然知道有人攞返credit,問下都應該吖,点知好問唔問,一問就出事。跟住呢嗰大經理就發揮佢偉大嘅推理能力,点解咁講?容後分解。咁我哋就問佢有冇second option, 佢就話可以比你食返,但係(又有條件?)每次起碼要食五百蚊,而每次淨係可以claim一半,即係如果賣單八舊水,你先至可以用返四舊。咁即係要昆多你一千個大洋!跟住佢又不停問我哋仲會唔會返去擺酒,我哋話同屋企人商量完先可以confirm。跟住我哋就即刻同两家人商量,第二日就去揾佢傾。

到咗第二日,因為我哋同埋我哋嘅伴郎食飯,所以食完lunch之後,我哋就一齊去順X。唔知係咪因為太多債主追數嘅關係,呢位洪姓大經理個樣真係好到唔知点形容,一坐低就破口大駡,大大聲同我哋嗰伴郎講:我唔知你係邊個!我唔知你係度做乜!我唔會同你講嘢!我淨係同主人家傾!而家做乜呀,三個人入嚟,兇我呀?全埸只有佢講,冇你講,話晒入得門口都係客,你有病呀?跟住我哋話同屋企人商量過話攞返五百蚊先,我哋會喺度擺酒,但佢竟然話唔得!!原因係因為前一晚我哋喺电話度問佢有冇second option。以佢嘅驚人推理及理解能力推算出結果,如果你問得second option就等同你cancel咗嗰booking!跟住佢又話如果你哋返嚟擺嘅話,我會減多你五百蚊及倍償你一切損失,事關佢摺埋嗰一個月我哋印咗D帖但係唔用得,同埋會倍埋你比咗第二間酒樓嘅deposit。我心諗你咁都up得出,都好可能又摺埋啦。

更好笑嘅係我哋話比佢知以前嘅經理話可以退訂,佢就話張單度冇寫,如果有寫嘅話佢就會退,以前嗰經理應承你嘅嘢,佢唔會認數!咁好吖,我哋話頭先你講倍乜倍物,唔該幫我白紙黑字寫低!費事你聽日冇做,第二個又唔應數。佢就話冇必要,寫比你嗰個都儍嘅,佢話係就係,口頭承諾都有法律效力,咁点解之前嗰個冇嘅?我哋聽完之後真係笑咗出嚟,佢仲話我哋笑就係唔尊重佢,問你死未?我又問佢,係咪乜都要白紙黑字?佢話係,咁張單都冇寫non refundable 喎?佢話你可以從任何途徑追討。呢D都未算過份,之後佢話佢白紙黑字寫低比你都得,不過要重新開過張單,因為我當你己經cancel咗之前嗰booking,你比多一千蚊訂我就寫比你。即係佢唔退訂之餘,又唔會hold 嗰日比你!真係火都嚟,我真係唔敢相信我所聽到嘅嘢,佢係咪人嚟架?講到呢度,再講落去都冇意思,唯有走人...
本來係喜慶事,而家比佢搞成咁,真係好唔開心。其實D訂都諗住好難攞返,不過冇諗過會遇到D咁唔講道理嘅人。總知一句講晒,希望大家小心呢間酒樓啦!

We are still thinking what to do next at this point. Maybe we will file a complain...but we don't know yet.

茂四, this is not legal advice but if i were in your case i will personally do this.
write a letter, in english(make sure it sounds professional with no grammar/spelling mistakes) stating some backgro ...

Thanks for the suggestion Simon. Most likely they won't refund the deposit if I write a letter personally. We are thinking to seek advice from notary service and ask them to send a letter. I heard you can actually ask for more money since you can claim all your losts in this period. ie. the deposit we paid for another restaurant and expenses from lawyer etc...

I think we have to make things clear before taking any further money consuming action.
The original restaurant which received your $1000 deposit closed down, then this "new" restaurant "re-opened" wit ...

Yea, you are correct. This is pretty tricky, even they used the same chinese name, they might already changed their english name. So this is pretty much no use if we sue them. We are trying to find out their business registration name/number (old vs new one). I hope they really changed it, so that I can let my credit card company knows the restaurant has already close down, and I can charge back.
BTW, anyone knows how to check thier business registration number?

usually how much budget you have per table?   and how many table you booked?   mind sharing?

thier menu starts from about $600-$1100 per table.
we need about 25-28 tables

Thx for the link Simon. unfortunately, i can't find their name there, i even checked the address..
i heard the reason they closed down because they have agurement between owners.

Hopefully I can get the deposit back through credit card company, but I'll have to till August (after my wedding). They can't file a claim at this moment.
Or they close down again before my wedding, then I can get the $$ back from credit car company.....

this place is really unstable. i really dont suggest anyone hving their wedding dinner at this restaurant. even tho i go there for tea on weekends but this restaurant (owner) was messed up before ...

I strongly suggest all Loyaukees don't go to this restaurant, even for dim sum...
