My typical daily meal:
Breakfast: 2 bowls of plain Congee, or 4 slices of wheat bread, or oatmeal
Lunch: Usually skipped on weekday, something light on weekend
Supper: 1 bowl of rice, stir-fried veggie with little meat, De-greased broth twice a week
No late night meal, seldom eat desserts....... yet, did not really lose weight
Getting old, just cannot eat that much anymore.
2 bowls of congee is quite filling for me for breakfast.
My inlaw is in Hospice and I have to cook congee for him
everyday so I eat some as well.
I bowl of rice is enough for me, while my son eats 4 bowls,
I do eat a lot of vegetables & tofu thou.
My summer supper would surprise you, 3 -4 evenings I would
eat raw vegetables and fruits, nothing hot.
Snacks between meals would be homemade yogurt with more fruits,
My family gone through 150 pounds of blueberries last year , from the farmer
direct.
