That is what I insist:
I don't mind to pay the fair market rate, but if I find out they cheat on the weight,
I'll take them to federal court.
I do not care it is a common practice among Chinese restaurants, but it is violation of federal law. The famous BBQ shop got shut down by the fed for tempering the scale 2 years ago.
So they charge you 2 dollars cheaper per lb. and cheat you 3 lb. what kind of deal do you get?
$8.99 x 12 =$107.88
you saved $4 and they cheat you $26.97 therefore you are paying  $11.99 per LB.what kind of deal is that?
I cannot tolerate people cheating on me, period.

Cheating on weight or misleading customer are both wrong, no matter what the reason is.
You go to Portuguese/Italian restaurant and order Bacalau and they served you fresh codfish instead of salted cod. You would have all the ground to complain no matter how good the food is.
Many people doing the wrong thing  together do not make it legitimate.

I always have some tucked in my freezer, for salad, crabcakes  and sushi.
Actually King Crab meat holds up  nicely in the freezer, much better than
Dungenese crab.

Frozen king crab meat would  take some shopping around. There is another solution,
buy some frozen king crab legs at around $10 per pound, cut open with scissors and
remove the meat. Put the crabmeat in air-tight container and return to freezer. It should
keep well for 2-3 months. The shells is not heavy and the meat is already cooked. It is not
exactly cheap but is good product at reasonable price. Compare with good fresh crabmeat
at Granville Island cost $34 per pound.

I don't like the one at City Square, the servers are poorly trained.
They don't even know where to place a  wine glass on the table.
It was an expensive wedding banquet and table wine were served.
When I inquiry about the wine, he replied impatiently, pointing to
one bottle" This is White wine" and then pointed to the other bottle
"This is RED wine so what do you want" I was like, speechless.
