while most fresh meat, seafoods and vegetables were in short supply.

t & t said they don't sell 五香肉丁 anymore.  i saw 豆豉鯪魚 at 1st ave t & t last week

Most of the canned food do not have the expiry date, instead, there will be
batch code embrossed on each can. The store manager will know for sure
in case there is a recall on products.  That is the reason sometimes they
have canned food pile up at the  corner and marked down 50%. A friend told
me that she  refused the deal of 50 cases  Bai Ling Mushrooms and they ended
up in a large supermarket.
BTW, it is illegal  to sell expired products on the regular shelves, Federal violation.
Canned food taste best to be consumed in 6 months, but the expiry date are usually
1-2 year
