I think there are 2 types, one is formal, and the other is informal.
Mostly in public area you only need to inform the police, usually (depend on number of people) they can't restrict you (unless you are doing something harmful to others) because it's your freedom...
In private area, that's another story. For sure, land owner got the rights... But, but, but, protest groups used to break the rules... On the other hand, those land owners used to let it go, otherwise there will be many problems followup...
For informal one, you know the answer...  In grey area, protest groups won't stop until they get legally sued.... |
