I am taking my friends to eat shark fins tonite. What restaurant would you recommand that has good shark fins and service?

I totally understand your concerns. I respect that!
I myself don't care much for sharkfin. Otherwise, I won't have to ask around where to go. My friends however traveled all the way here and requested for it. I can't turn them down and I am not in the place to expect them to adapt to an environmentalist or animal lover's belief.

Local seafoods like sockeye salmon, dungeoness crab, halibut, spot prawn are better than shark fin.

went to Granville and 41st.
the food was ok but hated their service! I asked what one of the dishes contains and the guy (seems like a manager) was too lazy to answer me. Then I started to tell him the reason I want to know and what the kids on the table are allergic to. Before I finished telling him, he cut me off and to order something else just incase the dish contains carrots or seafood!
sigh~ why does the chinese places have poor service all the time?
