I love Blue-fin Tuna. I agree that we need sustainable fishing practices so that we can continue to have this delicacy going forward.

At the same time, I believe in free market forces with some gov't oversight. The way to do it is to have better enforcement of fishery accounting, instead of asking people to consume less. People will consume less when the price goes up. Limit supply, price goes up, demand will naturally go down.

In this case, I think it's unfair to point the finger at the Japanese for eating Blue fin. The fault is in over-fishing and insufficient enforcement.
