    Protect home value is a fair argument.  They are selfish because they are making up excuse and use "中華文化" as their reason to against the project.

The hospice only has 15 beds.  Surely there are more than 15 people die at VGH each day. I don't see the houses around VGH affected by ghost.

Well, Vancouver has been thru many of these real estate cycles.  People said the same thing when Hong kong people came in the 80's, then the Filipino, the Taiwanese and now the Mainlander.   I'm sure the mainlander stop buying there will be others to fill in.
