Inflation......... Good to bring out this term. Real property is a very unique "product", in which inflation always goes up year by year, but real estate value could go up or down despite what the inflation rate is. I'll look at it this way: in a sense, better have the annual income increasing rate greater than or at least equal the inflation rate, so as to cover all the increased expenses. However, the mortgage monthly payment and interest rate (within the termed amortization period, fixed rate is fixed and variable rate has ups and downs thru out the years) are somehow fixed and won't affect you (strata fee and tax vary). |
