I think you should...

1) definitely tell your boss that he threated you at work
2) file the assault and 落口供 at the police, as well as get a witness report

this guy managed to get so worked up and get physical with out over a little issue...makes me worry what he is capable of if you anger him again at work or if you end up succeeding over him...

the truth is, he attacked you physically....and then threatened you verbally...even if it's just a little scratch, it is too dangerous to not let your boss know and also the police know.

also, it's probably best not to confront the guy and tell him that you told the boss and the police
let the police and your boss deal with him..

you know, this reminds me of a time when 2 guys at my previous workplace got into a disagreement over something minor...one of the guys started making threats to the other in front of everyone at work.....then somehow they ran into each other in the washroom and one of the guys purposely "fling" his hands after washing and got the other guy wet.

ended up with a wet paper towel fight in our work area. the crazy guy went into the washroom, grabbed a whole bunch of paper towels, made them wet, ran into our work area and started throwing them at the other guy..but the paper towels ended up everywhere..on everyone's work and desk

in the end, our manager came around and asked us one by one what we saw happen..and the guy got fired.

it was a scary yet funny (afterwards) situation to see 2 guys fighting with wet paper towels...

anyways my post has no real point....other than, there's crazy people everywhere.

yes...very very immature
one was an art director and another was graphic designer. both were over 30 years old...very immature indeed..but when they were throwing the paper towels, they had the look of vengeance on their face...it was a very serious fight but very silly actions
