Laptop電腦之所以叫 laptop，很簡單，就是可放在大腿上用也。但如果男士真的將 laptop放在大腿用，那麼你就大錯特錯，更要小心生育能力受損，精子減少。

美國紐約州立大學專家舍尼克（ Yelim Sheynk）發表研究報道，指男士將 laptop放在大腿上使用，即使用了墊子阻隔，也會因陰囊（ scrotums）受熱令精子減少。研究找來 29名年輕男子，讓他們將 laptop放在膝上，然後量度他們「蛋蛋」溫度，結果發現全部「蛋蛋」升溫。

「現在數以百萬計的男士使用 laptop，尤其是那些到達生兒育女年齡的男性。他們的陰囊在短短 10至 15分鐘內已升溫超過安全界線，只是他們不自覺而已。」舍尼克說，若在膝上用 laptop逾 1小時，他們的睾丸（ testicle）溫度更升逾 2.5℃。

之前一直沒有研究顯示 laptop怎樣影響男性的生殖能力，但都指出陰囊受熱升溫超過 1℃，就足以殺精。
